Lancaster Bus Station Closure (Temporary)

From Monday the 9th of August, Lancaster Bus Station will be closed until 5:55 A.M on the 18th of August.
Due to the essential repairs that will be taking place during this period, the Lancaster City Council and the Lancashire County Council have announced that other bus-stops within Lancaster will be used as a replacement to the actual Bus Station. They have chosen the date of 09 Aug – 18 Aug as it ties in with university and school holidays to minimise the disruption. More >
Lancaster & Morecambe Refuse Changes

Lancaster City Council have announced delays with the introduction of the new “Food Waste Recycling” plans that were due to be introduced at the start of August this year.
Due to the Thornton site not having the necessary accreditation needed on the composting technology, the plans which involved residents of the Lancaster and Morecambe district receiving green food waste bins are now delayed. The Lancaster City Council have not yet informed us of when the introduction of the new bins will now take place; instead they have told us “This is only a short delay and the scheme will be going ahead in the near future”.
